Terms and Conditions

Tuition fees payment – Payment shall be made at the end of each lesson

Termination of tuition – Two weeks notice in advance

Lesson cancellation – The Tutor/Parents may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the Student in which case no fees shall be incurred. Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will be invoiced except due to tutor/student illness or family emergency.

Lateness – Lessons will start at their scheduled time. If a student is late, the time will not be made up. However, it should be appreciated that where tutors are travelling to students there may, on occasion be unavoidable delays due to traffic, extended communication with parents etc. Where lessons start after their scheduled time due to tutor lateness, the time will be made up.

Limitation of liability – While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed. The Tutor makes no promises or warranties with regards to a Student’s performance as a result of any tutoring provided.

Obligations of tutor and student – The Tutor shall not assign any of his/her duties or obligations under this tutoring contract to a third party without the written permission of the Student. The Tutor shall at no time be required or obliged to execute homework or assignments on behalf of the Student. The Student agrees that assignments, exercises or homework form an integral part of tutoring and undertakes to complete
such work timeously.
